The Friday Report is our new format to inform you of locations added to the Tiny Living Resource each week, as well as news about other things that are happening with at Association.
Momentum continues to increase as we get more information on how you can live tiny in new locations. This week we've added:
We are excited to announce that Ottawa is currently the most Tiny Home supportive location in the Resource.

We are working on proposals for Demonstration and Research Initiatives and hope to present them to the National Housing Strategy and Provincial Government, to create a Pocket Community to study our designs, tiny home living, community development and the ARTO program.
I spoke with Sean Galbraith www.galbraithplanning.com this week about assisting with our demonstration Pocket Community and he was quite enthusiastic about the possibility.
I also spoke with Ross Chapin pocket-neighborhoods.net/ about Pocket Community design, and what could be done to move our basic concept into a working community.
Watch for a new Logan32 design as well as changes to our neighborhood POD design over the next few weeks as we work towards launching the first Pocket Community, just for tiny homes!
Ed, I'm a member. How we can access more information about the specifics of each municipality's support for tiny homes? It's great to know that Ottawa is "the most Tiny Home supportive location," but what does this mean, exactly."
Tom, if you go to: Living > Tiny Living Resource
you will see the latest locations that have provided information to us about their support for tiny homes. Their score is determined by the ways they have indicated you can live in a tiny home:
- on residentially zoned Vacant land/lot
- as a secondary dwelling as inFill housing
- in a Pocket community
- in a Tiny Town
selecting any location name will take you to the Tiny Living Resource and with more info on that specific location, as well as descriptions of the icons and colour meanings. You can also switch locations and view a map of all respondents. When you have selected a location, all information switches to info specific to that location.
Hope that helps,
